About Brent
Brent Glenn studied zoology before he turned to the law. He earned a B.S. in Zoology from Brigham Young University in 1997. He went on to complete a J.D. at the University of Chicago in 2000. Those years framed a transition from the life sciences to legal practice.
His early career included work at a series of established law firms. Records show he was at Piper Marbury Rudnick and Wolfe in 1999, then at Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander in 2002. He moved to McGuireWoods in 2004 and to Winston & Strawn in 2006. In 2014 he was listed at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. Each stop added to his understanding of firm practice and client representation across different offices and matters.
Glenn is licensed in two jurisdictions. He practices in Illinois and the District of Columbia. That dual licensure has allowed him to work on matters that touch both local and cross-jurisdictional issues. Over the years he has balanced the demands of large-firm practice with the different pace of smaller, more tailored client work.
After years at national firms, Glenn established his own practice. He runs the Law Offices of Brent Glenn. Operating a solo or small firm requires shifting from team-based assignments to direct client contact and case management. He brings the procedural knowledge gained at prior firms into that setting and applies it to the matters his clients bring to him.
