About Brandon
Brandon Venegas built a foundation in economics and finance before turning to the law. He earned a B.B.A. in Economics from Loyola University New Orleans in 1993, followed by an M.S. in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1995. He finished his formal legal training at Harvard Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1996.
He entered private practice at large firms shortly after law school. In 1999 he joined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher as an associate. A year later he moved to Norton Rose, where he continued as an associate. Those early years exposed him to the structures and demands of major law firms and provided training in the processes that large clients and complex matters require.
In 2003 he opened his own practice, founding the Venegas Law Office and serving as its owner and principal lawyer. Running a small firm shifted the daily work from teams and departments to direct client contact and firm management. He assumed responsibility for intake, case handling, and the administrative duties that come with ownership.
Venegas’s academic background combines economics, finance and law. That combination informs how he approaches legal problems. He is comfortable examining financial records, assessing economic implications and framing legal arguments in that context. His years in both multinational and boutique settings mean he has experience operating under different timelines and standards of documentation and client service.
He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and Texas and conducts his work through the Venegas Law Office. Those jurisdictions shape the matters he takes and the procedural rules that govern his practice. He currently practices law in Louisiana and Texas at the Venegas Law Office.
