About Brandie
Brandie Heffelmire earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2018 after beginning her studies in 2015. Her time at Michigan State combined classroom study with practical skills training typical of that law program. She left the campus prepared for courtroom procedure and client counseling.
After law school she continued her legal career in Indiana, where she is licensed to practice. Her admission to the Indiana bar allowed her to begin representing clients in state courts and administrative venues. Over the years she has handled matters that arise under Indiana law and has developed familiarity with local court practices and procedures.
Heffelmire’s work has involved direct client representation and courtroom appearances as needed. She prepares pleadings, conducts factual and legal research, and participates in hearings and trial preparations. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical: she tends to break complex issues into discrete tasks and to prioritize clear communication with clients and opposing counsel.
Her professional path includes both collaborative and individual assignments. At Trapp Law, LLC she has worked alongside other attorneys on cases that require coordinated strategies. She has also taken the lead on matters that call for discrete advocacy on behalf of individual clients. Her practice has required regular contact with judges, court staff, and administrative officers across the state.
Outside the office, Heffelmire has maintained ties to legal education through continuing legal education programs and local bar activities. She attends courses to stay current on changes in Indiana law and courtroom procedure. Those activities complement her casework and support day-to-day decision making for clients.
Heffelmire is currently an attorney at Trapp Law, LLC in Indiana. Her practice centers on matters arising under Indiana law and on representing clients in state courts and administrative proceedings.
