About Bradley

Bradley A. Vauter is a dedicated attorney based in Grand Ledge, Michigan, with a focus on estate planning, elder law, and related legal areas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Lake Superior State University in 1975. This foundational education paved the way for his future endeavors in law. After completing his undergraduate studies, Vauter worked for the Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency, gaining experience in community service and advocacy before pursuing a law degree. In 1983, Vauter graduated from the Detroit College of Law, now known as the Michigan State University College of Law.

His legal career began shortly thereafter in private practice, where he concentrated on small business and nonprofit corporate law, guardianship, and probate law. As a principal at Post Range and Vauter, P.C., he provided legal counsel to significant organizations such as Adult Well-Being Services and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging. This role allowed him to impact the lives of many individuals and organizations in need of legal support. In 1990, Vauter took a sabbatical in Mercer Island, Washington, which offered him a fresh perspective on legal practice. Upon returning to Michigan, he collaborated with various nonprofit organizations, including Michigan Protection and Advocacy and the AIDS Legal Council of Chicago. His work in these organizations underscored his commitment to social justice and advocacy for vulnerable populations.

Since his admission to the State Bar of Michigan in 1983, Vauter has been an active member, serving as the chair of the Elder Law and Disability Rights Section from 2012 to 2013. In 2016, he established Bradley Vauter & Associates, P.C., a law firm dedicated to serving the Grand Ledge community and surrounding areas. The firm specializes in probate law and administration, estate planning, property law, elder law, small business and nonprofit law, and LGBT law. Vauter is also certified as a mediator under the Michigan Court Rules, offering mediation services to clients seeking resolution outside of court. His experience has allowed him to counsel thousands of clients, further solidifying his reputation in the legal community. Vauter's commitment to community service extends beyond his legal practice.

He serves as a guardian ad litem with the Eaton County Probate Court and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Grand Ledge. Additionally, he is a member of the Ingham County Bar Association, where he continues to engage with fellow legal professionals. In his personal life, Vauter enjoys walking and hiking with his rescue dog, Harry, as well as reading and entertaining friends and family.
