About Beverly
Beverly Herson built her path to law through a mix of regional education and steady professional involvement. She earned her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2010 after earlier study at Frostburg State University, where she completed a B.S. in Law and Society, and at Garrett College, where she received an A.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her academic record shows an early interest in the intersection of law and community concerns.
After law school, Herson began practicing in Michigan and gained admission to the Eastern District of Michigan. She has kept active in the bar community since joining national and local associations. Her memberships include the American Bar Association (since 2014), the Ingham County Bar Association (since 2020), the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan chapter (since 2021), the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (since 2021), the Eaton County Bar Association (since 2021), and a Lawyer Pro Bono membership in the Animal Legal Defense Fund (since 2022). These affiliations reflect a practice that intersects civil procedure, probate concerns and community-based legal work.
Herson earned a Probate and Estate Planning Certificate through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. That credential complements the work she does for clients who need counsel on wills, estate administration and related matters. She has combined that formal training with regular participation in county and federal bar activities, which keeps her current on procedural developments that affect case handling in local courts.
She founded Herson Law PLLC and serves as its principal lawyer. As a founder, she manages both client-facing responsibilities and the practical demands of running a small law office. Colleagues describe her approach as practical and straightforward. She handles matters that arise at the county level as well as filings that require practice before the Eastern District of Michigan federal bench.
Herson's practice blends probate and estate matters with general civil litigation and client counseling. She counsels families through estate administration and represents individuals in civil matters filed in Michigan courts. Outside of casework she remains active in professional groups that address ethics, procedure and access to legal services.
She continues to lead Herson Law PLLC and manages a caseload concentrated on probate, estate planning and civil litigation in Michigan and the Eastern District of Michigan.
