About Bradley

Bradley Patton has practiced law since the mid-1970s. He completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Southern California in 1972 and earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law in 1975. Those years set the foundation for a career concentrated in criminal defense.

Early in his career Patton joined private practice and by 1978 had become a partner at Fletcher & Patton. He spent years handling trial work and building a courtroom practice. In 1999 he established the Law Offices of C. Bradley Patton, creating a firm under his own name where he continued to take trial cases and represent individuals facing criminal charges.

Patton is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, a credential from the State Bar of California. That certification marks a formal recognition of his experience in criminal practice. He has combined that credential with decades of courtroom work, representing clients in misdemeanors and felonies and arguing before judges and juries.

Professional involvement has been a steady part of his career. He has served on boards and committees at several legal organizations. He was on the board of the Criminal Defense Association in 1981 and served on the San Diego North County Bar Association’s board from 1993 to 1995. From 1989 to 1992 he wrote and advised as a member of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Professional Responsibilities and Conduct. Since 1994 he has held membership in the San Diego Legion Lex American Inn of Court. He has been on the board of the Criminal Defense Lawyers Bar Association since 2006 and is also a member of California Lawyers for Criminal Justice.

Colleagues describe Patton as someone who has steered a trial practice through changing criminal law landscapes. He has managed cases at every stage, from investigation and pretrial hearings to bench and jury trials. His practice has involved routine criminal defense tasks and complex litigation strategies. He has maintained ties to local bar groups and professional committees that shape practice standards in the region.

Patton works from a San Diego office where he handles matters for local clients. His work retains a practical, courtroom-oriented approach rather than a transactional emphasis. He represents clients in criminal defense matters in San Diego.
