He has been a member of the American Association for Justice Leaders Forum since 1993 and has maintained other professional memberships dating back to 1991. Between 1998 and 2000 he served on the National Executive Committee of the Federal Bar Association. That stint in bar leadership put him in contact with federal practitioners and offered insight into litigation trends across jurisdictions.
In 2022 he became a partner at Sweeney Merrigan Law, LLP. The move formalized a long tenure in litigation and broadened his responsibilities.
