About Bradford

Bradford Lear earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 1998. He entered the legal profession at the end of the 20th century after completing his law degree. His education at Missouri’s law school provided a traditional foundation in litigation and courtroom practice.

He is admitted to practice in both Missouri and Illinois. Over the years he has maintained active membership in the state bars for those jurisdictions and stayed involved in local and national legal circles.

Lear’s professional affiliations date back more than two decades. He joined the American Bar Association in 2001 and has been a member since. He became involved with the Boone County Bar Association in 2003. In 2005 he added memberships in the American Association for Justice and the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers, organizations that concentrate on trial advocacy and civil justice issues. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Missouri Boys State, a role he has held since 2001.

Those organizational ties have shaped the way he approaches the practice. The associations emphasize courtroom work, rules of evidence and trial strategy. They offer continuing education and forums for trial lawyers to exchange methods and case law developments. Lear’s steady participation suggests regular engagement with those aspects of practice.

He practices at Lear Werts LLP. The firm listing is the focal point of his day-to-day work. At the firm he handles matters that arise in the jurisdictions where he is admitted. Colleagues describe him as steady and deliberate in court and during client preparation.

Beyond firm responsibilities, Lear’s long-term service on a youth organization board points to a sustained interest in community institutions. Serving on the Missouri Boys State board since 2001 has kept him involved in civic and educational programs outside the courtroom. He also participates in local bar activities through the Boone County Bar Association.

Across more than two decades of practice, Lear has combined bar activity, association involvement and firm work into a consistent professional pattern. He remains active in the legal community and practices law at Lear Werts LLP, representing clients in matters across Missouri and Illinois.
