About Bradford J.

Bradford J. Glendening is an attorney whose career has bridged military and civilian practice. He earned a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management, concentrating in finance and accounting, from Purdue University Calumet. Those academic steps preceded his entry into military legal service and later work in state and federal courts.

Glendening began active duty service in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a trial lawyer in 2002. That role placed him in courtroom settings early in his career, handling litigation under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He later joined the Reserve Component as a trial defense counsel in 2010, shifting his role from prosecution to defense in military matters. The two positions gave him experience on both sides of the courtroom in military justice.

He is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. Those include the states of Texas and Indiana, the Southern District of Indiana, the Northern District of Indiana, and the Western District of Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. That combination of state, federal and military appellate credentials shapes the kinds of matters he takes on.

Glendening’s work draws on both his military courtroom experience and his civilian legal training. Over the years he has handled trials, hearings and appellate filings for service members and civilians. He has experience in procedural and evidentiary issues that arise in courts-martial and in federal and state litigation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in trial preparation and attentive to procedural detail.

His practice is based in central Texas, where he maintains offices serving Fort Hood, Killeen, Harker Heights and the wider Bell County area. That geography puts him close to military commands and to local civilian courts. It also means his calendar often includes matters that cross the military–civilian divide.

Outside the courtroom, Glendening’s background in finance and accounting informs his approach to case analysis. He draws on that training when reviewing financial records, assessing damages and preparing cross-examination. He continues to represent clients in state and federal forums and appears before military appellate tribunals. He currently practices in matters involving military justice, state and federal litigation, and appellate proceedings.
