About Brad

Brad Kavanaugh earned a Bachelor of Arts from Missouri State University before earning his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. He completed a traditional course of study and left law school prepared to practice in the Midwest. His education grounded him in the laws and procedures of the states where he now works.

After law school, Kavanaugh secured admission to the bars of Missouri and Kansas. Since then he has built a legal practice that operates across both jurisdictions. He has navigated matters that required familiarity with state rules, local court procedures, and the practical demands of representation in the region.

Kavanaugh’s work has taken him into courtrooms and conference rooms alike. He has managed case preparation, motion practice, and negotiations on behalf of clients. Colleagues describe his approach as methodical: he attends to factual detail and legal procedure, and he aims to present clear positions to judges, opposing counsel, and clients.

Education and early professional experience shaped Kavanaugh’s view of the law as a practical profession. At university and law school he focused on courses that emphasized statutory interpretation and trial technique. That foundation has informed his handling of filings, the development of case strategy, and the drafting of legal documents.

Outside of individual matters, Kavanaugh keeps current on changes to state and local rules that affect litigation and transactional work. He follows appellate decisions that alter legal standards in Missouri and Kansas and monitors administrative developments that affect client obligations. This keeps his practice aligned with the procedural and substantive realities that affect day‑to‑day legal work.

Clients and peers encounter an attorney who values clear communication. Kavanaugh prefers plainspoken explanations of legal risks and options. He aims to give clients a straightforward sense of what to expect in litigation or negotiation and to set realistic milestones for progress.

He is an active member of the regional legal community and maintains his licenses in Missouri and Kansas. Kavanaugh currently practices law in Missouri and Kansas.
