About Bogdan

Bogdan Martinovich earned his J.D. from DePaul College of Law in 1971. He finished law school at a time when the legal profession in Illinois was changing rapidly. That education laid the groundwork for a long career in civil litigation.

Early in his career Martinovich joined the Illinois State Bar Association and has maintained membership since 1974. He went on to practice in the Chicago area and moved into firm leadership relatively quickly. In 1975 he became a partner at Ray and Glick, a position that marked a steady presence in local litigation circles for years afterward.

Martinovich is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Over the decades he handled courtroom and appellate work, often representing clients in contested civil matters. His work has spanned trial preparation, motions practice and appeals. Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as methodical and deliberate in court filings and oral argument.

His practice has concentrated on personal injury litigation for much of his career. That specialization has involved cases arising from automobile collisions, premises liability and other negligence claims. He has tried cases at the circuit level and handled appeals when verdicts or rulings were challenged. Martinovich’s files show repeated engagement with discovery disputes and expert testimony issues common to serious injury cases.

Outside casework he remained tied to the regional legal community through the Illinois State Bar Association. Membership there provided a forum for continuing legal education and professional contacts across practice areas. Over time he witnessed changes in tort law and courtroom procedure and adjusted his practice accordingly.

In recent years Martinovich relocated his practice to Libertyville, where he is listed as a Libertyville personal injury lawyer. He continues to receive and manage plaintiff-side matters in the local courts, combining years of courtroom experience with an emphasis on case preparation and litigation strategy. He handles case intake, oversees discovery and represents clients at trial and on appeal when necessary.

Now in the latter stages of his career, Martinovich draws on more than five decades of practice to handle personal injury matters for clients in the northern Illinois region. He currently practices in Libertyville, representing clients in personal injury matters.
