About Bobby
Bobby Shamuilian earned his B.S. from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2006 and went on to complete his J.D. at the University of La Verne College of Law in 2012. He entered legal education in the late 2000s and finished law school at a time when issues around DUI enforcement and criminal procedure were under renewed public scrutiny. Those early academic years framed the practical path he would follow in California courtrooms.
Before taking the bar, Shamuilian worked as a paralegal at the Law Offices of Kirk M. Tarman in 2010. That role placed him close to case preparation, client interviews and courtroom logistics. It also connected him to trial-level criminal defense practice and to attorneys who later became professional partners. The hands-on experience informed his transition from support staff to advocate.
He became principal of My Rights Law - Criminal, DUI, and Injury Lawyers in 2012, the same year he joined the State Bar of California. Two years later he formed a partnership at the Law Offices of Tarman & Shamuilian. Those moves trace a common arc: early apprenticeship, rapid assumption of responsibility, and then establishment of a private practice that handles a range of contested matters. Much of his work has taken place in California jurisdictions.
Shamuilian holds a certification in Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) administration from La Pier & Associates, and his memberships reflect a concentration in DUI and criminal-defense circles. He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense (since 2015), the California DUI Association (since 2013) and the Public Defenders Association (since 2013). He also belongs to the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Since 2012 he has been listed as a mediator with the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California, signaling participation in alternative dispute resolution alongside courtroom practice.
Colleagues and clients see a practitioner who moved quickly from paralegal to principal and partner within a few years. He combines courtroom familiarity from early work with credentialed training in DUI assessment. Shamuilian's caseload and memberships suggest steady involvement in criminal defense and DUI litigation across California. He currently practices at My Rights Law - Criminal, DUI, and Injury Lawyers, where he focuses on criminal defense, DUI cases and injury matters.
