About Aniko Marie
Aniko Marie Felsen completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2001. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003. Those years of study framed her interest in criminal law and the rules that govern courtroom procedure.
She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2004 and has maintained membership since then. Early in her career she moved into criminal defense work. Over time she built experience handling a range of matters typically seen in state courts, including driving under the influence cases and other criminal charges.
Felsen now operates a solo practice under the name Law Office of A. Marie Felsen, Esq. She is listed as owner and lawyer and manages the day-to-day work of the firm. Running a small office means she handles intake, court filings and trial preparation herself. It also means she often represents clients directly in arraignments, motions and trials rather than delegating those tasks.
Her professional affiliations map neatly onto her practice. She holds memberships in the National College for DUI Defense, the California DUI Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is active in local bar groups as well, including the San Bernardino County Bar Association, Riverside County Bar Association, North County Bar Association and San Diego Bar Association. Her associations also include the California Public Defenders Association, California Lawyers for Criminal Justice, the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
Peers and colleagues will recognize the pattern: law school training, steady courtroom experience and continuous involvement in professional groups that address DUI and criminal defense issues. She stays current on developments that affect driving under the influence law and criminal practice through those memberships and the continuing legal education they provide. Her practice handles a mix of pretrial motions, negotiations and courtroom representation. She now handles DUI and criminal defense matters at the Law Office of A. Marie Felsen, Esq.
