About Bill
Bill Fix earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Missouri State University in 2001 and later completed his J.D. at St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2012. During his time in law school he was active in student groups and leadership roles, including serving as president of the St. Mary’s chapter of the Federalist Society in 2011–12. His academic path combined political science and legal study, giving him a foundation in both theory and practice.
Soon after finishing law school, he opened Fix Law, PLLC and has been listed as the firm's principal since 2013. He built the practice from a small office base and has overseen its operations for more than a decade. The firm bears his name, and his role as principal covers both casework and management. That early entrepreneurial step shaped the way he approaches legal work and client interactions.
Fix has maintained ties to civic organizations and professional committees outside the courtroom. He serves as Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the Missouri Community Service Commission. That role has put him in contact with public agencies and local stakeholders, and it reflects a continued interest in community-facing work beyond private practice. His engagement with the Federalist Society dates back to 2009 and includes the law school presidency noted above.
Within the Tennessee bar community, Fix holds memberships in local associations. He has been a member of the Knoxville Bar Association since 2014 and joined the Blount County Bar Association in 2015. These memberships have kept him connected to local courts, fellow attorneys, and continuing legal education offerings. He participates in bar association activities and attends meetings in the region to stay current on procedural and local developments.
Today he practices in Tennessee through Fix Law, PLLC, where he serves as lawyer and principal. The firm operates as a small practice based in the state, handling legal matters that arise there. His work continues to combine case handling, office leadership, and community committee service. His current practice focuses on representing clients in matters arising in Tennessee.
