About Benjamin Scott
Benjamin Scott Wright built his legal foundation across two law schools and a small liberal arts college. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ripon College, earning a B.A. in politics and government and studies in religion and philosophy. He later pursued legal studies that culminated in a J.D. in 2014, attending both Notre Dame Law School and the University of Wisconsin Law School during that period.
He began practicing on his own soon after law school. In 2015 he opened the Law Office of Benjamin Scott Wright as a sole proprietor. That early solo stint was followed by a year as a lawyer editor for the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2016. He joined Elder Advisors Law as an associate in 2017, where he worked for a year before returning to solo practice in 2018 under the Wright Law name.
Those moves show a mix of hands-on client work and law practice support roles. Editing for the State Bar gave him time to sharpen legal writing and stay current with state developments. Working at Elder Advisors Law exposed him to issues affecting older clients and their families. Running his own practice required handling intake, client counseling, and the day-to-day business tasks that keep a small firm running.
Wright is a member of the St. Croix Valley Bar Association and maintains licensure in Wisconsin. He has kept a presence in local bar circles since moving back into private practice. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his drafting and steady in client meetings. He has combined that practice experience with a regular role as the primary contact for his own clients since 2018.
He describes law as practical work. He often breaks complex statutes and documents into plain language for clients so they can make informed choices. His background in legal editing informs how he prepares briefs, correspondence, and estate-related documents. He balances advocacy and explanation in his client files rather than relying on formalism alone.
Wright Law operates as a small solo practice out of Wisconsin. He concentrates his practice on matters tied to elder-law concerns and general civil practice, handling counseling, document drafting, and representation for individuals and families.
