About Benjamin Pearce

Benjamin Pearce Titter built his path to the law in the classroom and the courtroom. He attended Anderson University before earning his law degree from Regent University School of Law. Those years shaped his approach to legal practice: methodical, court-oriented and rooted in procedure.

He is authorized to practice in Virginia and holds Court Appointed Certification from the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission. That certification allows him to accept court-appointed work and to represent indigent defendants in state proceedings. It also speaks to his involvement in the criminal justice system at the trial level.

Titter joined Garrett Law Group, PLC, where he has worked on matters that arise out of Virginia’s courts. His work includes representing clients in contested hearings and trials. He has handled both initial appearances and longer bench and jury proceedings. He approaches each matter with an eye for courtroom mechanics and efficient case management.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prepares thoroughly. He breaks complex issues into concrete questions for judges and jurors. He is careful with procedural deadlines and attentive to the evidentiary rules that often determine case outcomes. In practice, that means early motions, focused discovery, and readiness to try a case if settlement is not attainable.

Titter’s training at Regent University School of Law also left him comfortable with legal research and written advocacy. He drafts briefs, motions and memoranda that aim to clarify issues rather than obscure them. That style fits well with the demands of court-appointed work, where clarity and timeliness matter to clients with limited resources.

Outside of court, he spends time staying current on changes to Virginia criminal procedure and the policies of the Indigent Defense Commission. Court-appointed work requires attention to administrative standards as well as the law. Titter balances those demands by prioritizing direct client contact and structured case calendars.

He practices from Garrett Law Group, PLC in Virginia and continues to accept court-appointed matters under his Virginia Indigent Defense Commission certification. He currently focuses his practice on representing individuals in state criminal matters and related litigation in Virginia.
