About BeJae
BeJae Shelton earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012. She completed her legal education during a period of change in Florida's legal market and entered practice as the profession adjusted to new economic realities.
Shelton is admitted to practice in Florida. Early in her career she became involved in the local legal community. She joined the Jacksonville Bar Association and later took on volunteer leadership in the Jacksonville Womens Law Association, where she now serves as Pro Bono Chair and as the association's liaison to the JBA.
Her role as Pro Bono Chair has included organizing volunteer efforts and coordinating access-to-justice initiatives. As JBA Liaison she bridges the Womens Law Association and the broader bar, helping to align programming and community outreach. Those positions place her regularly in contact with attorneys across practice areas and with nonprofit partners that offer legal services to underserved residents.
Colleagues describe Shelton as practical and hands-on. She often appears at community clinics and panel events.
