About Barry

Barry Deacon earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1975. He completed his legal education during an era of change in American law schools. The degree laid a long foundation for a career spent largely in courtroom work and trial practice.

After graduating he entered private practice and over the years built a practice centered in Texas. He maintains membership in the Texas bar and has kept active ties to Arkansas through the Arkansas Bar Association. His path through the profession has been steady rather than flashy. He moved from early associate positions into roles carrying full responsibility for client representation and trial strategy.

Deacon is a current member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice, organizations that connect trial lawyers across state lines and provide education on litigation and trial advocacy. Those memberships reflect an ongoing engagement with developments in civil procedure, evidence, and trial technique. He has used those resources while preparing cases and participating in the trial process.

Colleagues describe his courtroom approach as straightforward and methodical. He prepares cases with an eye toward evidence and practical presentation. His work has required drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and presenting arguments to judges and juries. Over time he has handled the full lifecycle of litigation matters, from initial investigation through motion practice and trial.

Alongside casework he has remained involved in professional networks. Participation in bar activities and trial lawyer organizations has kept him current on rule changes and appellate decisions that affect trial work. That involvement also provides continuing legal education and peer interaction that inform daily practice.

He practices from Barry Deacon Law. He currently practices law at Barry Deacon Law in Texas, handling litigation matters.
