About B. Troy
B. Troy Villa is an attorney who built his legal foundation in Louisiana. He earned a B.S. from Nicholls State University in 1986 and returned to the state for law school, receiving his J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1990. Those years established local ties that have shaped the arc of his career.
He began practicing law after completing his degree and stayed rooted in Baton Rouge. Over time he moved into firm leadership. He is a partner at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P., where he has worked alongside other lawyers handling matters that arise in the state and region. The partnership role reflects both experience and an ongoing presence in the local legal community.
Villa remains active in professional circles. He holds membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, an affiliation that connects him to peers who handle legal questions in health care. Those memberships keep him plugged into continuing legal education and the practical developments that affect clients in Louisiana.
Outside the firm, Villa has taken on roles in nonprofit and civic organizations. He has served as treasurer on the board of the Academic Distinction Fund and previously sat on the Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic School Board as a director. He is on the board of Education s Next Horizon and has been involved with the American Red Cross, Louisiana Capital Area Chapter, since 2008. These positions reflect an interest in education and community service that runs alongside his legal work.
Colleagues describe him as steady in approach and practical in handling client issues. He brings courtroom awareness and transactional experience to matters that require both legal analysis and real-world judgment. That combination can be useful when a client faces regulatory questions, contract disputes, or institutional governance issues.
He continues to practice in Louisiana from his role at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P. His current work encompasses health care matters and advising nonprofit and education institutions in the state.
