About Austin J.

Austin J. Hepworth built a legal path that moves between private practice, in-house work and mediation. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Utah in 2007 and a J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in 2010. Those credentials set the stage for a career that crosses state lines and practice areas.

He began his career in 2010 at Bopp, Coleson & Bostrom. The next year he opened Hepworth Law, LLC, where he worked as a lawyer and mediator. That early period combined courtroom and alternative dispute resolution work. In 2012 he joined Cannon Law Group as a lawyer, adding more transactional and litigation experience to his résumé.

Midway through the decade Hepworth moved into corporate and tax matters. In 2016 he handled international tax work for LifeVantage. A year later he took an in-house post as general counsel at Blue Raven Solar. Those roles exposed him to compliance, cross-border tax issues and the operational demands of a growing company.

In 2020 he began a new chapter at Believe Legal Institute, LLC, listed as estate planner and believer. The title signals a return to client-focused law. At Believe Legal Institute he has concentrated on preparing estate plans and helping clients think through succession and legacy. He continues to offer mediation and dispute-resolution services alongside his estate practice.

Hepworth is licensed to practice in California and Utah. That dual admission allows him to serve clients in both states and to handle matters that touch multiple jurisdictions. His work history—private firms, his own practice, corporate counsel and tax assignments—gives him a practical perspective on how legal decisions affect individuals and businesses.

Colleagues describe him as someone who moves quickly between detailed legal analysis and plainspoken explanations for clients. He has navigated contract negotiations, tax compliance projects and estate plan drafting. He also brings mediation experience to disputes that might otherwise proceed to litigation.

Hepworth’s professional path is steady rather than headline-grabbing. He has shifted roles when circumstances required a different skill set, and he has returned to client-facing practice as his interests evolved. He now practices through Believe Legal Institute, LLC, where his work centers on estate planning, mediation and related legal matters.
