About Ashley
Ashley Marshall built her legal foundation at Auburn University, where she earned a B.S. in Secondary Education—English and Political Science in 1999. She went on to the University of Alabama School of Law and received her J.D. in 2003. Those academic years framed an early interest in law and communication, the two strands she carries through her work today.
Marshall began practicing in Alabama after law school and has remained tied to the state’s legal community. She holds membership in the Alabama State Bar and also maintains ties to the Washington State Bar Association. Over time she added a mediation credential, becoming a registered mediator through the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution. That combination of courtroom knowledge and alternative dispute resolution training shapes how she approaches cases.
Her path includes both advocacy and problem solving. Colleagues note that her mediation training often leads to practical results before trial. She prepares cases for litigation when necessary, but she also looks for ways to resolve disputes through negotiated agreements, early neutral evaluation, or settlement conferences. Those options can shorten timelines and limit expense for clients.
At Cranford Marshall Legal, LLC, Marshall practices alongside other attorneys in a small-firm setting. The practice provides a setting where attorneys manage cases from intake through either negotiated resolution or trial. Marshall’s background in education and law informs how she explains complex legal issues to clients. She frames legal choices in plain language. That approach helps clients understand the trade-offs of settlement offers and the consequences of litigation.
Outside the office, Marshall’s membership in bar associations keeps her connected to professional networks and continuing legal education. Her mediator registration also requires ongoing attention to standards and procedures for dispute resolution. Those obligations shape how she handles cases and how she prepares clients for mediation sessions.
Marshall’s record is one of steady participation in the legal community. She combines courtroom preparation with mediation tools and applies both in her practice at Cranford Marshall Legal, LLC. She currently concentrates her work on resolving civil disputes through a mix of negotiated settlement and litigation when needed.
