About Ashley
Ashley Ivanov built a legal career that crosses public service and private practice. She moved from internships in Washington to running her own firm in Florida. The path is marked by steady steps: education, government work, firm experience, and local business leadership.
Ivanov earned her bachelor’s degree in political science, with a minor in international affairs, from The George Washington University in 2004. She then attended Vermont Law School, receiving her J.D. in 2009. Those years included time in legal settings that shaped her early practice and provided exposure to federal regulatory work.
While still in law school and shortly after, Ivanov worked in federal offices. She served as a summer associate at Motley Rice in 2007, interned at the U.S. Department of Justice in 2008 and took a law clerk position at the White House Council on Environmental Quality in 2009. Those roles offered firsthand experience with policy, regulatory review and the mechanics of complicated administrative matters.
After passing into private practice, Ivanov joined Press & Dozier, L.L.C. as an associate in 2010. She later worked at Spano & Woody, P.A. in 2015 and then at the Law Office of Emma Hemness, P.A. in 2017. In 2018 she opened The Law Office of Ashley Ivanov, P.A., where she serves as principal lawyer. Earlier work as a paralegal at Baker Botts in 2004 and a summer associate position helped build her foundation in firm operations and client service.
Outside the office, Ivanov has been active in local and professional organizations. She has current memberships in The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Federalist Society, the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce and Rotary of Fishhawk-Riverview. She also served as president of the Business Networking International Apollo Beach Chapter during the 2017–2018 term. Those affiliations reflect both civic ties and professional networking that accompany a local practice.
Ivanov is licensed to practice in Florida and Maryland and maintains a practice based in Florida. Her work spans matters that arise in state and local settings as well as issues touched by federal rules and procedures. She currently concentrates her practice on legal matters in Florida and Maryland.
