About Ashley
Ashley Davis built a career at the intersection of litigation and teaching. She began her academic path at The College of William and Mary, where she earned a B.A. The study of human behavior drew her to graduate work; she advanced to candidacy for a Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh before turning to law. She completed her J.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2004.
Her legal career started in 2004 at McGuireWoods LLP. There she worked in the Complex Products Liability and Mass Tort Litigation Department. Early on, she handled elements of large, multi-party cases that required careful coordination of facts and experts. The experience provided a practical grounding in both trial preparation and the logistics of mass tort work.
Davis began sharing that practical knowledge in the classroom in 2008, when she served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at the T.C. Williams School of Law, University of Richmond. She taught Lawyering Skills III, a course focused on developing the skills junior lawyers use every day. Students remember her emphasis on clear written advocacy and courtroom readiness.
In 2014 she joined Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen, P.C. as a lawyer. Over the subsequent years her responsibilities expanded. In 2022 she became a shareholder at Allen, Allen, Allen, and Allen, P.C. Colleagues describe her as methodical and precise in case work. She has navigated matters that require coordination across jurisdictions and between multiple parties.
Davis is admitted to practice in Virginia and is also admitted to the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Women’s Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. She maintains active ties to the trial bar and to organizations that support lawyers practicing in complex civil litigation.
Her practice blends courtroom work, case management, and mentoring younger lawyers. The background in anthropology and the years spent on mass tort and products cases inform how she assesses evidence and frames disputes. She continues to handle civil litigation matters, including product liability and mass tort cases, and remains active in legal education and professional organizations.
Her current practice centers on civil litigation, including product liability and mass tort matters.
