About Ashleigh
Ashleigh MacPherson earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2006 after completing undergraduate studies at Drury University, where she received a B.S. in Psychology. Her education combined legal training with an undergraduate grounding in human behavior, a background that informs her work with clients who need assistance navigating complex systems.
She began practicing law soon after law school and became a partner at MacPherson Law Center, LLC in 2008. That early partnership gave her hands-on experience running cases and managing client matters. In 2014 she founded MacPherson Law, LLC and serves as its managing lawyer. She has led the firm through the kinds of everyday challenges small practices face, including case development, client intake, and courtroom preparation.
MacPherson's professional memberships map onto the kinds of cases she handles. She has been a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives since 2008. She joined the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association in 2010 and has been involved with Legal Services of Southern Missouri since 2012. These affiliations connect her to both local legal networks and national practitioners who represent claimants before federal administrative agencies.
Clients and colleagues describe her as practical and straightforward in the way she explains procedures and options. She focuses on making complex legal processes understandable. Her background in psychology helps when interviewing clients and assessing how physical or cognitive issues affect day-to-day functioning and legal claims.
Her courtroom and administrative experience includes handling matters that require formal hearings and written submissions. She is familiar with the procedural steps that lead to decisions at administrative agencies and understands the importance of thorough documentation. That experience informs how she prepares records and argues claims on behalf of individuals who rely on government benefits or need legal advocacy at the local level.
Outside her casework, MacPherson participates in the local bar association and in organizations that provide legal help to underserved members of the community. Those activities reflect a practice that combines client representation with involvement in systems that deliver legal services across southern Missouri.
She is licensed to practice in Missouri and manages MacPherson Law, LLC. Her current practice concentrates on representing individuals in Social Security-related matters and in other legal issues tied to access to public benefits and administrative hearings.
