About Arthur H.

Arthur H. Lang built a professional life that crosses disciplines. He began in the humanities and sciences, moved into educational administration, and later trained as a lawyer. The path is not unusual. The mix of degrees is, and it shapes the way he approaches legal questions.

Lang earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas–Austin. He continued his studies at Chadron State College, taking coursework in Math Education and later completing a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. He completed legal studies at Rutgers School of Law–Newark, where he received a Juris Doctor. Those academic stops provide a variety of perspectives: classroom practice, institutional management, and the study of law.

After law school, Lang became a member of the bars in New Jersey and New York. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that traverse state boundaries and to participate in federal appellate work where procedures and precedent play a central role.

Lang’s background in both the public and academic sides of education gives him a practical sense of institutional dynamics. He often frames legal issues in terms of systems and rules that govern organizations as much as individual disputes. He approaches cases by isolating legal questions, then considering how those questions intersect with administrative and procedural frameworks.

Colleagues describe his style as direct and methodical. He prefers clear written argument and careful preparation for hearings. When the record matters, he leans on the documentary and factual record. That orientation serves well in matters that require detailed review of administrative decisions, regulatory compliance, or appellate briefing where written work is decisive.

Lang has practiced in matters arising in the New Jersey and New York courts, and has worked on cases routed through federal channels to the Third Circuit. He has handled a range of procedural and substantive legal issues that reflect his cross-disciplinary education and legal training. He currently focuses his practice on matters arising in New Jersey and New York and on federal appeals in the Third Circuit.
