About Arnold M.
Arnold M. Bottalico is a New York attorney whose career has been tied to real estate and title matters since the early 1990s. He earned his J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1991 after completing a B.A. at Hofstra in 1987. He built his early practice in firm settings before moving into in-house work and later opening his own office.
He began working in private practice soon after law school. In 1994 he was with Golden Wexler & Sarnese, P.C., and by 1996 he was at Shapiro & Kreisman. Those years on the firm side gave him grounding in the day-to-day demands of transactional and defensive practice in New York’s real estate environment.
In 1997 Bottalico moved in-house, taking a senior counsel role at Fidelity National Title Insurance Company. In that capacity he handled matters related to title insurance and the legal issues that arise in property transactions. The in-house experience exposed him to underwriting, claims and the interplay between title work and closing mechanics.
By 2009 he was managing his own practice, listed as Managing Lawyer of Arnold M. Bottalico, Lawyer At Law. He also holds a New York State license as a real estate broker, a credential that adds a practical layer to his legal work. That combination of licensing and legal training shapes how he approaches transactions and contested matters alike.
Bottalico has participated in bar and community service. He is a member of the American Bar Association since 2014. He also volunteered as pro bono counsel through the New York State Bar Association for victims of Superstorm Sandy from 2013 to 2014, assisting affected residents with legal needs tied to the disaster.
Over the years his career has moved between law firms, an insurance company legal department, and his own practice. Each stage contributed different perspectives on property law: the client-centered pace of private firms, the operational demands of a title insurer, and the autonomy of running a solo shop.
He maintains his practice in New York and handles foreclosure-related matters and other real estate legal work. He currently focuses his practice on foreclosure law.
