About Armando

Armando Nava began his legal path in Texas and Arizona. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Texas A&M University, College Station, in 2003. He stayed in the Southwest for law school and received his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2007. Those years set the stage for a career centered in Arizona courts and criminal law circles.

After law school Nava entered private practice and joined established firms to build trial experience. He worked as an associate at Weisberg & Meyers in 2010. The following year he moved to Alcock & Associates, P.C., where he continued as an associate. Those early roles gave him exposure to the routines of litigation and client representation in a variety of criminal matters.

In 2016 Nava launched The Nava Law Office PLLC. As the firm’s owner, he shifted from staff attorney to principal. Running a small practice required managing the business side of law as well as direct client work. He handles case intake, strategy, and courtroom appearances for clients across Arizona. The practice has centered on criminal defense, including matters related to driving under the influence.

Nava’s professional affiliations reflect the area of law he practices. He serves on the board of Arizona Lawyers for Criminal Justice, a statewide organization for defense attorneys. He also holds memberships in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College for DUI Defense. Those memberships connect him with colleagues and continuing education on evolving criminal and DUI law.

Colleagues and clients have found him accessible and practical in approach. He balances courtroom advocacy with preparatory work before trial. That balance often means negotiating plea options when appropriate and taking cases to trial when necessary. He maintains a local practice, appearing in municipal and state courts, and manages matters from arraignment through appeal work when the case requires it.

Outside the courtroom Nava has stayed involved in the criminal defense community through seminars and association events. He does not list law teaching or published scholarship on his profile, focusing instead on client representation and professional collaboration. His office handles consultations and representation for individuals charged with criminal offenses and related motions.

He currently practices criminal defense and DUI defense in Arizona through The Nava Law Office PLLC.
