About Ariel L.
Ariel L. Baniowski earned both her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and a B.S. in Administration of Justice from George Mason University in 2009. She completed formal legal education the same year she finished her undergraduate degree, a fact that shaped the first years of her legal career.
Her early practice years included an associate role at Kinsey, Lynch & Filipour in 2013. That same year she joined Livesay & Myers, P.C. as an associate. She remained at Livesay & Myers through a steady series of promotions: senior associate in 2017, lead senior associate in 2018, and junior partner in 2022. The progression suggests sustained responsibilities in litigation and client work, and it reflects a continuity of practice at one firm over more than a decade.
Baniowski is admitted to practice in Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Those admissions allow her to handle matters in both state and certain federal venues. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section and the Prince William County Bar Association, both of which she joined in 2013. She is also a member of the Loudoun County Bar Association, a membership she has held since 2018.
Colleagues describe her work style as methodical and pragmatic. She has handled a range of matters typical to family law practice, including custody and support issues as well as marital property concerns. She has appeared in state court and in federal filings where appropriate. She is known among peers for thorough preparation and attention to procedural detail during hearings.
Her practice has been anchored at Livesay & Myers, P.C. for the bulk of her legal career. There she has served clients in contested and uncontested matters, prepared pleadings, conducted discovery, and represented clients at hearings and mediations. She has also taken on supervisory responsibilities as her title advanced, mentoring junior attorneys and overseeing case strategy on complex files.
Outside the office she maintains ties to local bar organizations in Prince William and Loudoun counties and participates in the ABA family law community. She continues to practice at Livesay & Myers, P.C., where her work centers on family law matters.
