Ms. Akel earned her Juris Doctor degree from Lincoln Law School in 1998. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California State University, Long Beach, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. During her time at Lincoln Law School, she participated in an internship program for a prominent criminal defense attorney in Sacramento, where she developed a passion for defending individuals against federal and state charges and ensuring they receive a fair trial.
