About Anthony

Anthony Soto is a trial lawyer with decades of legal experience grounded in formal training and courtroom practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Florida International University in 1981 and completed his Juris Doctor at St. Thomas University School of Law in 1989. Those academic years shaped a career aimed at courtroom advocacy and civil litigation.

At Florida International University Soto studied criminal justice amid a changing legal landscape. He moved on to St. Thomas University School of Law, completing his J.D. at the end of the 1980s. His education combined practical criminal-justice perspectives with the doctrinal study of civil procedure and evidence that supports trial work today.

Soto is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and holds federal admissions as well. He is authorized to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and has credentials to litigate in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that begin in state courts and escalate to federal forums when necessary.

He holds board certification from The Florida Bar as a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer. That credential denotes specialized experience and peer review in civil trial work under the state’s certification process. Soto also maintains active memberships in several professional organizations: the American Association for Justice, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Cuban-American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association and the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association. These affiliations keep him connected to developments in trial practice and local bar activity.

Soto practices at Rubenstein Law, where his docket has involved civil trial matters and federal litigation. His courtroom work draws on years of handling evidentiary questions, jury preparation and trial strategy. He appears regularly in motions hearings and jury trials, and he files and responds to appeals when cases proceed beyond the trial court.

Colleagues describe Soto as methodical in preparation and pragmatic in courtroom decisions. He approaches cases through careful fact development and focused advocacy at trial. As of 2026 he continues to practice at Rubenstein Law, concentrating on civil trial litigation in state and federal courts.
