About Ann S.
Ann S. Jacobs earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1992. She moved from law school into practice in Wisconsin, where she has worked on civil matters for more than three decades. Her legal education at Madison provided the foundation for a career centered on claims arising from accidents and injuries.
Early in her career Jacobs handled a mix of client-facing and litigation tasks. She developed a practical sense for the day-to-day realities clients face after an injury. Over time she focused her caseload on disputes that arise from motor vehicle collisions, workplace incidents and other personal injury claims. That practical orientation shaped the way she approaches cases: methodical, attentive to detail and oriented around resolving the client’s immediate needs.
Her work covers the range typical of personal injury practice. She investigates claims, coordinates with medical providers, and documents the economic and non-economic losses that often determine value. She negotiates settlements and prepares matters for contested hearings. When cases require further action, she and colleagues collect evidence, depose witnesses and manage litigation timelines. She has experience guiding matters through pretrial stages and resolving disputes by negotiated resolution when that is in a client’s interest.
In client meetings Jacobs is often described as straightforward. She sets expectations about the process, the timeline and the likely outcomes. That direct approach can help people make decisions about medical care, insurance negotiations and whether to pursue a court action. She also spends time explaining legal standards and the elements required to prove negligence in Wisconsin, so clients understand how their individual facts fit those standards.
She maintains memberships in professional associations and participates in continuing legal education to stay current on case law and statutory changes affecting injury claims. That ongoing study informs how she evaluates medical records, loss calculations and liability issues. Colleagues and staff at the firm work together to prepare files and communicate with experts when needed.
Jacobs practices at Jacobs Injury Law, S.C., where she handles personal injury matters, including claims arising from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. She currently practices at Jacobs Injury Law, S.C., focusing on personal injury matters.
