About Angela

Angela Walker earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she received a B.A. in English Language and Literature in 2000. She built a foundation in legal writing and analysis during her time at Michigan. Those years shaped how she approaches cases and client communication today.

She began practicing law soon after graduation and established a steady path in employment law. Over the years she has handled a range of workplace matters, representing clients through litigation, administrative proceedings and negotiated resolutions. Her work has remained concentrated on employment and labor issues, where statutory and contract disputes often intersect.

Walker has been active in professional organizations connected to workplace law and the broader legal community. She serves in the Washtenaw region leadership of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and has held the position of Past-President there. She is also a member of the Michigan Employment Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Michigan Labor & Employment Section. Those affiliations inform her practice and keep her current on developments in employment law.

Her practice encompasses a range of employee-side matters. She represents clients in claims involving discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination. She also handles wage-and-hour disputes, leave and accommodations issues, and matters arising under state and federal employment statutes. In many cases she combines litigation tactics with efforts to resolve disputes before trial, depending on client goals and the circumstances of the case.

At the firm level she practices at Blanchard & Walker, PLLC, where she works alongside colleagues on employment matters. Her role includes client counseling, pre-litigation strategy, filing and defending claims in state and federal forums, and managing discovery and motions practice. She has continued to maintain ties to local legal networks and regional bar activities.

Outside the office she participates in association programs and regional initiatives that address workplace fairness and professional development among attorneys. She is known among peers for steady courtroom preparation and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution. She currently practices employment law at Blanchard & Walker, PLLC, representing employees in workplace disputes and related matters.
