About Angela

Angela Dows took a direct route into law. She enrolled at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2003 and completed her Juris Doctor in 2006. Her years in law school coincided with a period of rapid growth in the Nevada legal community, and she emerged ready to enter both state and federal practice.

After law school, Dows established herself in courts across different levels. She is admitted to practice in Nevada and authorized to appear before the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions mark her as a lawyer comfortable handling matters beyond the trial court level.

Her work has involved litigation in both state and federal forums. Over time she has handled appeals and federal-court filings, navigating procedural and substantive challenges that come with higher-court litigation. She has experience preparing briefs, arguing motions, and managing the record on appeal.

Colleagues and opposing counsel describe her as pragmatic in court and exacting in preparation. She tends to favor clear written advocacy and careful preservation of issues for review. That approach is useful when matters move from trial courts to appellate panels and when federal standards of review control outcomes.

Dows has kept a steady presence in the Nevada bar while maintaining credentials that allow her to take cases to the Ninth Circuit and to seek review in the nation’s highest court when circumstances warrant. Her practice blends appellate litigation with handling federal-court matters at earlier stages, so she often works on cases that may travel through multiple levels of the judiciary.

Outside the courtroom she has participated in briefings and procedural work that support appellate practice. Those efforts include drafting appellate briefs and preparing records for submission to reviewing courts. She places emphasis on clear issue framing so arguments survive rigorous appellate scrutiny.

She is currently practicing as a lawyer admitted in Nevada, the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, concentrating on appellate litigation and federal-court matters.
