About Angel M.
Angel M. Traub built a legal career that bridges courtroom work, bar governance, and community service. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University in 1998, earning a B.A. in Corporate Communication and Spanish. She went on to receive her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2001.
After law school Traub established A. Traub & Associates - Lawyers at Law and has served as its principal owner. She maintains offices in Lombard and Arlington Heights and is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Northern District federal court. Her practice has long been based in the suburbs west of Chicago, where she combines private practice with active participation in local bar institutions.
Traub’s work in the bar community is substantial and sustained. She has held leadership roles on multiple committees, including the Judges Night Committee, which she has chaired since 2009. She co-chaired the Family Law Committee in 2012 and served on the DuPage County Bar Association Board of Directors from 2007 to 2012. She has been a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Lawyer Referral Services Committee, and several practice and diversity-related committees. Within the Northwestern Suburban Bar she served on the Suburban Bar Coalition Judiciary Committee.
Her involvement extends beyond bar politics. Traub served as president of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers in 2007–2008. She sits in membership roles in the Illinois State Bar, the ISBA Foundation, the American Inns of Court, and the DuPage County Bar Association. She also acts as pro bono counsel for the DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation and participates in efforts aimed at improving access to legal services.
Those organizational roles reflect a steady interest in family law and community-oriented legal work. Her committee leadership on family law matters and long-standing ties to local legal assistance programs indicate the types of matters she regularly handles. Colleagues and court contacts see her most often in family court dockets and in discussions about judicial and bar procedures.
Traub balances practice and volunteer service. She remains active in lawyer referral and diversity initiatives and appears regularly at bar events she has helped to organize. At A. Traub & Associates she continues to handle family law matters and related civil issues from offices in Lombard and Arlington Heights.
