About Angel M.
Angel M. Reyes earned his law degree from the University of Miami in 1990 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Florida in 1987. He moved from the classroom to the courtroom at a time when the legal landscape in Florida was changing fast. The decisions he made early in his career set the stage for a long tenure in both state and federal practice.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Within two years of beginning his practice he took on a leadership role at Reyes, O Shea & Coloca, P.A., becoming president and managing partner in 1992. That role has defined much of his professional life, and he has overseen the firm’s operations while maintaining an active caseload.
Reyes’s affiliations reflect an emphasis on litigation. He holds memberships in the Florida State Bar, the Dade County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of several organizations that concentrate on trial work: the Florida Justice Association (formerly The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and The American Association for Justice. Those memberships point to ongoing involvement in courtroom practice and in the professional networks that support trial lawyers.
Colleagues describe him as someone who blends managerial responsibility with regular courtroom participation. He balances firm administration and client representation. Over the years he has handled matters in state courts and the federal district court that covers Miami and the surrounding counties, representing clients through motion practice and trial preparation.
Outside the courtroom he has maintained steady ties to bar and local legal groups in Dade County, staying involved in the community of practitioners who shape everyday practice standards. His academic background from two major Florida universities and long-standing firm leadership give him a familiar presence in South Florida legal circles.
He practices at Reyes, O Shea & Coloca, P.A., where he concentrates on civil litigation and trial work in both Florida state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
