About Michael
Michael Mayoral began his legal formation at Florida International University, where he earned a B.A. in philosophy and economics. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Those two programs shaped a blend of analytic thinking and courtroom preparation that appears throughout his career.
He entered public service as a trial lawyer at the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office in 2014. There he handled a steady docket of trials and learned to manage high-pressure hearings. That early courtroom experience set the tone for his subsequent moves into private practice.
In 2019 he held the role of senior associate at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, where he worked on civil matters. The same year he is also listed as owner and trial lawyer of Mayoral Law Office, P.A., a role that signaled a shift toward managing cases and clients directly. Those dual responsibilities reflect a career that has balanced firm-side work with solo practice.
The following year, 2020, brought new titles. He worked as a trial lawyer with Downs Law Group and is recorded as a shareholder at Perez Mayoral, P.A. That period ties together litigation bench skills with firm leadership and client development.
Mayoral is authorized to practice in Florida and has admissions that allow him to appear before the federal appellate courts listed as the 11th Circuit, the 5th Circuit and the Federal Circuit. He holds current memberships in several bar and trial lawyer organizations, including the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section, the Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association, and the Cuban American Bar Association.
His background is rooted in trial work. It ranges from criminal defense experience at the public defender’s office to civil litigation across private firms and his own practice. The bar section memberships suggest involvement in matters tied to real property and probate, alongside ongoing trial litigation.
Colleagues and clients have known him for a practical, courtroom-centered approach. He combines litigation experience with the administrative demands of running or sharing leadership in a firm. That mix informs how he evaluates cases and prepares for trial dates.
He currently practices at Perez Mayoral, P.A., handling trial litigation and matters involving probate and real property.
