About Andrew T.

Andrew T. Nef took a direct path into law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from California State University, Fresno in 2011 and continued his studies at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2014. Those years in Fresno and Sacramento shaped his interest in practical courtroom work and case preparation.

He began his legal career in support roles. In 2013 he worked as a paralegal at Bradford Barthel, and the following year he served as a law clerk for the Cassinat Law Group while finishing law school. He returned to paralegal work in 2015 at John Rogers Burk, a Law Corporation, then joined the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt as a paralegal in 2016. That steady progression kept him close to litigation tasks and client files during the early, formative years of his practice.

In 2021 he moved into an attorney role at the same firm. As an associate lawyer he has taken on increased responsibility for drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and preparing matters for hearing. The roles he held prior to becoming an attorney helped him build a practical grasp of trial preparation and the procedural work that underpins courtroom advocacy. He learned to track deadlines, coordinate with expert witnesses, and translate complex legal research into usable case strategies.

Colleagues describe his background as rooted in hands-on litigation support rather than in a single narrow specialty. He has experience across the spectrum of tasks that support dispute resolution: document review, motion practice, client interviews, and courtroom filings. Those tasks inform how he approaches matters as an attorney. He tends to focus on clear, organized case files and on timely communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Outside of day-to-day casework he maintains ties to the legal community in California. He is licensed to practice in the state and continues to develop practical skills through courtroom appearances and file management. He prefers work that allows him to shepherd a matter from intake through resolution.

He currently practices at the Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt, representing clients in California state matters.
