About Andrew Michael

Andrew Michael Bonderud built a law career that blends military service, courtroom work and cross-jurisdiction practice. He studied political science and Spanish at Vanderbilt University, graduating in 2005 with a minor in math. He spent time at the Universidad de la Habana in 2004. He returned to the United States for law school and earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2012.

His professional life began outside law. In 2005 he served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy. The Navy posting preceded his legal studies and left a mark on how he approaches complex problems under pressure. After law school he moved into trial work. In 2013 he began practicing as a trial lawyer at The Bonderud Law Office, P.A.

Bonderud is admitted to practice in Florida and Tennessee, and his federal admissions span multiple districts and circuits. He appears in U.S. District Courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Courts across the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. He also holds admission in the Western District of Tennessee and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. His appellate admissions include the 11th Circuit and the 6th Circuit.

Courtroom experience has been a through line in his practice. He handles trials and matters that require federal court appearances and bankruptcy proceedings. That work sits alongside other litigation and defense matters and reflects his steady preference for casework that moves into contested settings. Colleagues note his readiness to handle evidence-heavy dockets and to take matters to hearing when necessary.

Bonderud maintains memberships in several professional organizations that match his practice geography and interests. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2013 and of the Tennessee Bar Association since 2013. He is active in the Jacksonville Bar Association, listed as a member beginning in 2012. He also holds membership in the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where his enrollment dates from 2013.

Clients and other lawyers see him as experienced in federal litigation and bankruptcy matters across Florida and Tennessee. He continues to manage trial-level work at The Bonderud Law Office, P.A., representing clients in both state and federal forums. He currently focuses his practice on litigation, federal court work and bankruptcy-related proceedings.
