About Andrew M.
Andrew M. Ayers built his legal foundation in New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Saint John’s University in 1995 and went on to receive a J.D. from New York Law School in 1999. Those credentials set the stage for a career that would cross state lines and courtrooms.
He entered private practice early in the 2000s, serving as a senior associate in 2003. After several years in firm practice, he established his own firm, Andrew M. Ayers, P.C., in 2011. That step moved him from an associate role into one where he oversees case strategy, client intake and firm operations.
Ayers holds admission in multiple jurisdictions. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and later secured admission in Connecticut and Minnesota. He is also admitted to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials reflect a willingness to handle matters that cross state lines and to address issues that may require federal court access.
Professional affiliation has been a steady part of his career. In Minnesota he joined the Hennepin County Bar Association and has served as chair of its Solo & Small Firm Section since 2016. He is a member of the Douglas K. Amdahl Inn of Court, a group that brings together judges and lawyers for educational programs and mentoring, and he has maintained membership in the Minnesota State Bar Association since 2016. Earlier in his career he was active in Brooklyn-area bar groups. From 2003 to 2016 he belonged to the Brooklyn Bar Association, and from 2011 to 2016 he volunteered with the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project, Inc. He also held membership in the Morris County Bar Association from 2013 to 2016.
The arc of Ayers’s work shows a move from associate-level practice to running a small firm. That trajectory involved courtroom work, client counseling and the kinds of administrative responsibilities that come with solo and small-firm leadership. Colleagues and association roles indicate familiarity with the practical demands of operating a law office as well as interacting with local and state bar structures.
He maintains an active practice through Andrew M. Ayers, P.C., and handles matters that arise within his admitted jurisdictions. His current practice focuses on representing clients through the firm, Andrew M. Ayers, P.C.
