About Andrew
Andrew Gordon built a practical path into law that began in college. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Cortland. He later attended Charlotte School of Law, where he completed legal studies and received a J.D.
Early in his legal training, Gordon worked in public offices. In 2016 he served as an extern at the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office and at the Iredell County District Lawyer’s Office. Those placements put him inside courtrooms and client interviews. They also exposed him to the day-to-day mechanics of trial preparation and courtroom procedure.
After law school he moved into private practice. In 2017 he joined Hoard Law, P.C., as an associate. The following year he took on a leadership role at his own firm, becoming the managing lawyer of The Law Offices of Andrew L. Gordon, PLLC. He has maintained that firm role since 2018, handling intake, case strategy, and the administrative work that keeps a small practice running.
Gordon’s professional background is not limited to legal work. He has been the owner of On Tap Event Services since 2012. That business experience has informed his approach to client service and office management. It also shaped how he balances legal duties with the operational demands of running a practice.
His career reflects a mix of public-sector training and private-sector practice. He moved from externships in county offices into an associate role and then into firm leadership. The sequence shows steady movement into responsibility and case management. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina and has developed experience handling matters that arise in state court settings.
