Mr. Winghart earned his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School in 1999. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Colorado State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996. During his time at Tulane, he developed a strong foundation in various areas of law, which has informed his diverse practice.

Mr. Winghart concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, insurance claims, and intellectual property. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, bad faith insurance, business insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, life insurance, motor vehicle insurance, property insurance, copyright, trademark, and trade secret issues. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Winghart has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Mateo, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Redwood City for five years.

Mr. Winghart is an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association and the San Mateo County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Santa Clara County Plaintiff Trial Lawyers Association. He devotes his volunteer time to Lawyers in the Library and the San Mateo County Community Law Night. Mr. Winghart is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the Bay Area effectively.
