About Andrew D
Andrew D Cooper holds a J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, conferred in 2006, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Auburn University, awarded in 1991. His academic path began in the late 1980s and led to law school in the early 2000s. The combination of a criminal justice undergraduate degree and later legal training shapes how he approaches cases and client counseling today.
After earning his law degree, Cooper entered private practice and by 2007 was serving as a partner at Cooper and Cooper, Lawyer at Law, LLC. That partnership marks the longest continuous stretch of his professional life on public record. He has spent the years since building a practice based in Alabama state law, working directly with clients and managing aspects of firm operations alongside casework.
Cooper maintains an active membership in the Alabama State Bar. He participates in the routine duties that membership entails, including compliance with continuing legal education requirements and the regulatory standards imposed by the state bar. Those responsibilities inform the practical side of his work and the way the firm handles client matters and filings within Alabama’s courts and administrative bodies.
His background in criminal justice informs his judgment on legal strategy and evidence. In practice he combines that perspective with the doctrinal training from law school. Colleagues and clients describe his work as straightforward and methodical; he breaks problems down, lays out the options, and moves cases forward. He has experience preparing pleadings, negotiating resolutions, and appearing on behalf of clients in state proceedings.
Cooper currently works out of Cooper and Cooper, Lawyer at Law, LLC, where he continues to accept matters in Alabama. He manages client relationships, oversees case preparation, and represents clients in matters that fall under his firm’s scope. He remains a current member of the Alabama State Bar and continues to practice law in Alabama state courts and administrative forums.
He currently practices at Cooper and Cooper Lawyer at Law, LLC, providing legal representation in matters before Alabama state tribunals.
