About Andrew

Andrew Catherman built his legal path across state lines. He studied psychology at the College of William and Mary, then moved on to earn a J.D. from Ohio Northern University. Those formative years set the stage for a career spent in courtroom work and client counseling.

He began at William and Mary focused on understanding how people make decisions. In law school he sharpened analytical skills and learned the mechanics of litigation. The combination of a liberal arts background and legal training shaped a practical approach to legal problems.

Early in his career, Catherman worked at Brent A. Jackson & Associates and at Throop Law, P.C., both in 2015. Those roles provided front-line experience handling client matters and managing case workflow. He developed routine practice skills there: drafting pleadings, preparing discovery, and appearing in hearings. Colleagues from that period describe him as thorough and steady under pressure.

Catherman is licensed to practice in both Maine and Virginia. That dual admission has allowed him to take on matters that cross state boundaries and to advise clients whose issues touch multiple jurisdictions. He has worked on cases that required coordinating filings and appearances across courts in different states, and he understands the procedural variations that can make such work complex.

He later joined Dominion Law and now practices through Dominion Law, LLC PA. At Dominion Law he handles a range of matters for individuals and organizations. His work includes client intake, case strategy, and courtroom representation. He continues to rely on the mix of practical judgment and procedural knowledge that has marked his career from the start.

Clients and peers say Catherman brings a pragmatic sensibility to legal problems. He prefers clear, direct advice over legal theory untethered to real-world consequences. He currently practices at Dominion Law, LLC PA, serving clients in the jurisdictions where he is licensed and handling legal matters that span Maine and Virginia.
