About Andrew

Andrew Brown is a personal injury attorney based in Columbia, South Carolina. He has been practicing law in South Carolina since 2003 and is admitted to the Federal Circuit. He is a member of the South Carolina State Bar and the South Carolina Association of Justice. Mr. Brown earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Rochester in 2000. His legal career began with a clerkship for the Honorable M. Duane Shuler of the South Carolina Circuit Court from August 1997 to the summer of 1998. Following his clerkship, he joined Bridges, Orr, Derrick & Ervin, where he practiced civil litigation, primarily defense, from August 1998 to April 2001.

In May 2001, he established The Law Office of D. Craig Brown, P.C., focusing on civil litigation and criminal defense until March 2010. During this period, he also served as a part-time public defender in Florence and Marion counties. In 2010, Mr. Brown was elected to the South Carolina Circuit Court, At-Large Seat 8, and was reelected in 2015. He served as a Circuit Court Judge until his retirement in 2020. Throughout his tenure, he presided over numerous civil and criminal cases, including significant matters such as State v. Brenda Bratschi and Affirmative Insurance Services, Inc., v. Salvador Cruz Campos.

After retiring from the bench, Mr. Brown returned to private practice, focusing on personal injury and workers' compensation cases. He is the managing attorney at The Brown Law Firm LLC, located at 2000 Park Street, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29202. The firm handles a variety of cases, including car accidents, construction accidents. Wrongful death claims. Mr. Brown is committed to providing personalized legal representation to clients across South Carolina. Mr. Brown is a member of the South Carolina State Bar and the South Carolina Association of Justice.

He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is also a member of the South Carolina Bar's Practice and Procedure Committee and has served as a Past President of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association. In his personal life, Mr. Brown is married and has two children. He is an active member of his community, participating in various local organizations and events.
