About Andrew

Andrew Archer built a legal path that began in the Midwest and led to New Jersey courtrooms. He earned a B.A. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2006. Those years set the academic groundwork for a practice that centers on bankruptcy and consumer matters.

After law school Archer entered private practice and gained early courtroom experience. In 2009 he worked at the Law Office of Seymour Wasserstrum, where he handled a range of debtor-side matters. He moved on in 2014 to Shapiro & DeNardo, LLC. There he continued to deepen his knowledge of consumer bankruptcy and related litigation.

In 2016 Archer became a partner at Brenner, Spiller & Archer, LLP. That partnership marked a shift into firm leadership and expanded his role in case strategy and firm management. He appears on filings in both the New Jersey state system and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, reflecting the dual jurisdictional scope of his practice.

Archer is active in professional circles that shape bankruptcy practice. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers and participates in the Bankruptcy American Inn of Court. Those affiliations keep him connected to developments in bankruptcy procedure, consumer protection issues and litigation trends that affect debtors and practitioners alike.

Colleagues describe his practice as pragmatic. He handles consumer insolvency matters and contested hearings. He also advises clients on the mechanics of chapter filings and the litigation that sometimes accompanies them. His background in finance informs how he analyzes budgets, repayment proposals and the economic realities behind consumer cases.

Courtroom work and negotiation play a regular part in his caseload. He files adversary proceedings, defends objection claims and appears at confirmation hearings. He represents individuals navigating debt relief and small businesses that must weigh reorganization against liquidation.

Outside the courtroom he contributes to firm decisions on case selection and client intake. He has taken on mentoring roles for newer attorneys at his firm and in local professional groups. He keeps active in continuing legal education through the associations he belongs to and through local practice-oriented programs.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He currently practices in New Jersey, handling consumer bankruptcy matters and related litigation.
