About Andrew
Andrew Abramowitz pursued a broad liberal arts education before turning to the law. He earned an A.B. from Brown University in 1992 and completed his J.D. at New York University School of Law in 1997. Those years set the groundwork for a career in New York’s private practice sector.
He began his legal career as an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in 1998. That entry-level role gave him early exposure to large-firm practice and the demands of representing institutional clients. Five years later he moved into partnership at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, taking on greater responsibility for client work and firm management. In 2008 he joined Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as a partner, a move that reflected a steady progression through several of the country’s sizable law firms.
Mr. Abramowitz has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1998 and remains an active member of that bar. His registration and continuous membership in the state bar mark a professional continuity that stretches from his early post-law-school years through the present.
Across his firm roles, Abramowitz has taken on a mix of client-facing and internal responsibilities. He has overseen teams of lawyers, coordinated complex matter workflows, and handled the administrative and strategic tasks that come with partnership. Colleagues describe him as a practitioner who blends attention to detail with an ability to manage competing priorities. He has worked inside the structures of large law firms long enough to understand how to marshal firm resources and align them with client needs.
His office has been listed at 565 Fifth Avenue, where he maintains his practice base. He continues to practice law in New York from that office.
