About Ana Laura
Ana Laura Gutierrez built her legal foundation in Texas classrooms and courtrooms. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from St. Mary’s University in 2003. Six years later she received her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2009. Those years shaped her understanding of local communities and legal practice.
Straight out of law school she moved into public service. In 2009 she served as an Assistant District Lawyer in Brooks County, Texas. That early post put her in regular contact with courtroom procedures and case management. Two years later she began practicing at The Gutierrez Law Office, where she has maintained a steady presence since 2011.
Gutierrez has remained active in professional circles. She holds memberships in the Coastal Bend Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Through those associations she keeps abreast of developments in Texas law and participates in a regional network of practitioners. The memberships reflect ongoing engagement rather than a pause from practice.
Her work centers on serving clients in South Texas. She maintains offices in Corpus Christi and Alice. Those offices provide local access for people who need counsel and representation within the state system. She is admitted to practice in Texas and handles matters that arise in state courts across the region.
Colleagues describe Gutierrez as practical in the courtroom and straightforward in client meetings. She tends to break complex issues into clear steps. She prefers a direct explanation over legal jargon when speaking with clients. That approach has marked her public work from the early county post to her current private practice.
