About Amy Beth
Amy Beth Baron trained first as a nurse and later as a lawyer. She earned a B.S. in Nursing from Simmons College in 1988 and a J.D., majoring in litigation, from Massachusetts School of Law at Andover in 1997. The two degrees shaped a career that crosses clinical care, case management and the law.
Baron began her clinical work in hospital settings. In 1992 she worked in orthopedics, multiple trauma and plastic surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. By 1994 she had moved into community healthcare, serving as a registered community healthcare nurse and supervising private services. Those early clinical posts led to roles that bridged health care and legal systems.
In 2002 Baron worked as a field case manager and certified nurse life care planner for independent workers’ compensation case management firms. She later served as a nurse and financial investigator in 2005 for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. In 2007 she taught as an adjunct professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Northeastern University School of Pharmacy. In 2010 she founded Baron Law & Mediation, LLP and established Baron Medical Record Reviews, where she is owner, principal and a registered nurse medical record reviewer.
Her professional credentials reflect both nursing and legal qualifications. Baron holds active registered nurse licenses in Massachusetts and Arizona and certifications as a Certified Case Manager and a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association since 2000. From 2010 through 2012 she held membership in the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Massachusetts chapter. She also maintains membership in the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation beginning in 2010.
Colleagues and clients encounter a practice built on clinical assessment, case management techniques and mediation training. Her background includes hands-on nursing care, claims-focused case management and work inside a state-level fraud oversight unit. Her academic experience includes classroom instruction at two pharmacy schools.
Baron works in Massachusetts and maintains offices under Baron Law & Mediation, LLP. She currently practices at Baron Law & Mediation, LLP, handling mediation, medical record review and medical-legal matters in Massachusetts.
