About Amber
Amber Geib built her path into law through a mix of classroom study and local legal work. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Columbia College in 2016. She then completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri School of Law in 2018, studying family law during her time there.
Early in her career Geib secured certifications that shaped her practice. She completed guardian ad litem training at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and obtained a family law emphasis credential from the same institution. She is also commissioned as a notary public by the State of Missouri. Those qualifications have informed the cases she accepts and the roles she performs in court.
Geib is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the Eighth Circuit. She founded Geib Law Group, P.C., and operates as the firm’s principal attorney. Her practice has included contested and uncontested family law matters. She has represented clients in custody disputes, support proceedings, and other family court issues. She also serves in guardian ad litem roles for children in family court when appointed.
Her professional life includes memberships in a range of local bar organizations. She is active in the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, the Cass County Bar Association, the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. Those affiliations connect her to colleagues across the region and to continuing legal education opportunities.
Geib runs a small firm that handles the procedural and human elements of family court work. Her days often split between client conferences, drafting pleadings, and appearances in court. The practice emphasizes case preparation and direct client communication. She accepts matters that require courtroom representation and those that can be resolved through negotiated agreements.
Clients and colleagues describe Geib as methodical in case preparation and practical in courtroom settings. She combines training as a guardian ad litem with family law credentials to handle cases where a child’s welfare is central. She continues to maintain memberships in local and regional bar associations and to serve clients through Geib Law Group, P.C., where her work centers on family law and related court appointments.
