About Amanda Sue
Amanda Sue Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in 2009 and a Juris Doctor from Trinity Law School in 2014. Her academic path combined a liberal undergraduate education with three years of professional legal training. She moved to California after law school and built a practice rooted in firm-based experience.
Her early legal work began outside a traditional law office. In 2010 she worked as a legal analyst at Jefferson Refinery. That role exposed her to regulatory and compliance materials and the practical side of corporate operations. By 2012 she had joined Javaherian and Ruszecki, PC, serving as both a legal assistant and as an associate. Those years offered frequent exposure to day-to-day case management and client contact.
Johnson continued her progression through Los Angeles firms. She worked as an associate at Downtown LA Law Group in 2016 and a year later joined Swerdloff Law Office as an associate. At each firm she handled matters that required coordination among clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. She developed experience in litigation workflows and in the practical demands of running cases from intake through resolution.
Outside the office she maintains professional ties in the local legal community. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Barristers and serves on the association’s Pro Bono Committee. She is also affiliated with ARAG. Those memberships keep her connected to peers and to pro bono opportunities across the county.
Her current base is Johnson and Cruz PC, where she continues to practice law in California. Her work there draws on years of firm-level experience and on an early career that combined analytical work with hands-on case handling. Colleagues describe her as steady and methodical in the way she approaches filings and courtroom preparation. She is active in client representation and in the routine responsibilities of trial-ready practice.
Johnson remains licensed to practice in California and maintains an active caseload through Johnson and Cruz PC. She lives and works in the Los Angeles area and continues to handle client matters in California state courts.
